Introduction
In order to connect to a hoverboard, you will need to have a compatible device. The two most common types of devices are Bluetooth-enabled devices and those that use an IR remote control. If your device does not have Bluetooth, you will need to purchase an adapter in order to connect wirelessly.
Once you have ascertained that your device is compatible, you will need to power on both the hoverboard and the device. On the hoverboard, there will be a power button located on the front of the deck. The location of the power button will vary depending on the model of hoverboard; however, it is typically located near the top of the deck, near the front wheels. Once the hoverboard is powered on, you should see a green light or an indicator that it is ready to be used.
If your device uses Bluetooth, you will now need to put it into pairing mode. To do this, you will typically press and hold down a button until it either begins flashing or emits a tone. Once it is in pairing mode, you should see it appear on the list of available devices on your hoverboard. Select it and enter in the passcode if prompted; this is typically 0000. If everything has been done correctly, you should now be connected and able to use your hoverboard!
What You’ll Need
To connect to your hoverboard, you will need:
-A laptop or desktop computer
-The included USB cable
-The hoverboard itself
Once you have gathered everything you need, follow these simple steps:
1. First, make sure that your hoverboard is turned off.
2. Next, connect the included USB cable to the “USB” port on the side of the hoverboard.
3. Then, connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer’s USB port.
4. Finally, turn on your hoverboard by pressing and holding the “Power” button for 3 seconds.
Step One: Turn On the Hoverboard
Turn on the power button that is typically located on the side of the device. Then, step onto the board. You should feel it begin to hum as the motor turns on.
Step Two: Move Your Feet
Now that the board is on, it’s time to start moving! Place your feet shoulder-width apart in the center of the deck and lean your bodyweight forward ever so slightly. As you do, you should feel the board begin to move underneath you.
If you’re having trouble getting the hang of it, try starting out on a smooth, level surface like a driveway or sidewalk. Once you’ve gotten comfortable moving around, you can try taking it for a spin on rougher terrain like grass or dirt. Just be careful not to go too fast or take any big bumps—you don’t want to fall off!
Step Three: Stop When You’re Done
When you’re ready to stop, simply step off of the board and turn it off using the power button. Then, give yourself a pat on the back—you just rode a hoverboard!
Step Two: Place Your Hands on the Hoverboard
Now that you’ve found a good spot to ride, it’s time to put your hands on the hoverboard. You should be standing with your feet about shoulder-width apart and your weight balanced evenly between both feet. Once you’re in position, reach down and place both hands on the handles in front of you.
Step Three: Lean Forward or Back to Move
Now that you have your balance, it’s time to start moving around on your hoverboard. The way you lean your body weight will determine which direction you go in. To go forward, simply lean your body weight forward on the foot pads. You’ll start to move in that direction. To go in reverse, lean backward. And to turn, just lean your weight to the side in the direction you want to turn. Remember to keep your feet shoulder-width apart for proper balance.
Step Four: Steer the Hoverboard
Use your body weight to lean the way you want to go. If you want to turn left, lean your left shoulder and hip down and to the left. You should feel the hoverboard responding and turning in that direction. Do the opposite to turn right. You can also lean forward or back to go faster or slower.
Step Five: Get Off the Hoverboard
Now that you’re done riding the hoverboard, it’s time to get off. Here’s how:
1. Stand on the side of the board that you want to dismount from.
2. Place your other foot on the ground next to the hoverboard.
3. Lean forward and off the board.
4. Step away from the hoverboard once you’re safely on the ground.
